Tessa visited the Burnham Area Youth Centre during one of the group's regular computer sessions on Friday (January 15th).

She also was given a conducted tour of the building and heard about the various clubs that use the popular centre.

After a short introduction to UK Online's ongoing strategy, she joined in a class, and helped and talked with some of the members about practical elements of computer housekeeping.

Tessa said: "I enjoyed the visit immensely because there are so many useful and interesting activities going on at the centre. Computer access is important these days, especially to more senior citizens, and it can be an essential outside world window to those who are housebound."

"All the activities here depend on volunteer help, and we urge interested parties to come forward, whether it is for the computer technology sessions, The Shed youth cafe, the Gateway Club, or even the Tuesday morning Stroke club sessions, who also need volunteer drivers to bring in members to the sessions."
