Tessa met with the team to learn more about the vital search and rescue work of the organisation before abseiling the world famous gorge. She said 'I was keen to meet them in their environment rather than in a meeting room' and described her first time ever abseiling as 'fantastic!'

Around fifty residents from the Mendip area took the opportunity to come to the Town Hall in Glastonbury to hear what Ms Munt had to say and ask her questions. Tessa commented that housing is a 'fantastic topic' and encouraged residents to come to her as much as possible with their views, ideas and experiences, reassuring them it was an area she intends to highly prioritise. The main issues and views raised by residents were focused on the area of care and support including the provision of support workers, issues surrounding anti social behaviour and the provision of new local housing for the future. Tessa had a wonderful time meeting residents and plans to work with Flourish Homes and attend more of these events in the future.

Voting by post is an easy and convenient way of voting if you are unable to get to the polling station on polling day - for any reason.
